It was a dream come true for the football fans at a Croydon pest control company when the company took up the opportunity of sponsoring an event at Crystal Palace Football Club.
Cleankill Pest Control sponsored a Business Club Event featuring Palace Manager Tony Pulis and former player and now coach Gerry Francis. The sell-out business networking event was attended by more than 100 people.
Cleankill Managing Director Paul Bates said: “Our association with Crystal Palace goes back to the 2003/2004 season at a time when Palace were bottom of the league and the club was a bit desperate for advertisers. We took a package of a pitch side advert in front of Block B and a program advert. The pitch side advert turned out to be rather good as we climbed the league that year and ended up in the premiership
“I have been a Palace supporter man and boy and most of my family members (including my daughter) have season tickets. So this event was brilliant from a business point of view as we were able to make some new contacts and also a personal point of view – as I wouldn’t usually get the opportunity to meet Tony Pulis.”
Crystal Palace also has a pest-prevention contract with Cleankill, one of a number of sporting venues the company looks after.
