Expos and Awards

I have been looking through the promotional plans for May and it is definitely going to be a busy month with three business expos in two days. On 10th May we will again be at Kent Vision Live, taking place at The Kent Event Centre. With over 3,000 participants coming together at the Detling Showground, near Maidstone, this exposition describes itself as the “South East’s premier B2B exhibition and the largest event of its kind in the UK.”

Cleankill Becomes 14th UK Company to Receive New European Pest Control Quality Standard

Cleankill Pest Control has become the 14th pest control company in the UK to be certified BS EN 16636:2015 – The Management of Public Health Pest Species Including Bird Control. Receiving this accreditation confirms that Cleankill has the correct systems in place to deliver first-class, safe and efficient pest control services in the United Kingdom. Certification runs from 24th March 2016 until 23rd March 2019, with an interim audit during the middle year.

Rash of Bed Bug Stories

Over the last few weeks you may have noticed there have been a number of terrible stories about bed bug infestations in the newspapers. Being the director of a pest control company, it is my misfortune to have dealt with these difficult pests on more than one occasion and I can assure you that prevention is far better than having to deal with an infestation. As we have seen from the stories, this is a pest that has no qualms about infesting both up-market and down-market establishments.

Time to make sure you are protected from the menace of pigeons

With Spring seemly getting earlier and earlier, now is the time to make sure your property is protected from nesting pigeons and other flying pests.

As the days get warmer, birds will start to look for places to settle – outside ledges and exposed pipework. Their droppings will then collect on the floor below, causing an unsightly and dangerously slippery mess.

Why doing business responsibly makes good sense for everyone

Cleankill as a company only has two assets – its staff and its customers, without these there is no business. Our responsibility is to train, encourage and support our staff in their work and in their welfare, so that they will in turn carry out their work to the best of their abilities and promote the image of Cleankill as the best provider of pest control services to their clients.
